This Privacy Policy explains how Ofbit AS ("we", "us", "our") collects, uses, shares, and protects information when you use our mobile application Ultimate Timer (the "Services").
Key point: Ultimate Timer stores all your timer data — including timers, activity history, and goals — locally on your device. You may optionally enable iCloud sync to back up and synchronise your data across your Apple devices via your personal iCloud account. If you choose to enable Apple Health integration, workout data is read from and written to the Health app on your device via Apple's HealthKit framework; this data stays on your device and is not synced to iCloud. We do not upload or have access to your timer or health data. The only third-party data collection that occurs is through Google Mobile Ads, which may collect limited device information to serve advertisements to free-tier users.
Ultimate Timer is designed to work entirely without an account. All content you enter is stored locally on your device and is never sent to our servers. This includes:
Like most apps, we may receive limited technical information needed to operate and secure the Services, such as device and app diagnostics (for example, crash reports). We do not use this information to build advertising profiles.
If you grant notification permission, the app may send local notifications to your device — including your Apple Watch if you have the Watch app installed — for example, to alert you when a timer phase completes while the app is in the background. These notifications are generated entirely on your device and no notification content is transmitted to us.
If you install the Ultimate Timer app on Apple Watch, your timers and activity data are accessible on your Watch. The Watch app works with the same local data as the iPhone app via Apple's standard device communication framework. No additional data is collected by the Watch app, and no data is transmitted to us through it.
If you enable iCloud sync in the app settings, your timer data (timers, activity history, goals, and preferences) is stored in your personal iCloud account using Apple's CloudKit framework. This data is associated with your Apple ID and is governed by Apple's iCloud terms and privacy policy. We do not have access to data stored in your iCloud account. iCloud sync is disabled by default and entirely optional.
Health and workout data is inherently sensitive. If you choose to enable Apple Health integration, this data is accessed and stored exclusively on your device via Apple's HealthKit framework — it is never transmitted to us and is not synced to iCloud. Beyond HealthKit data, we do not intentionally collect or request other sensitive personal information. All other app content you enter remains on your device or, if you opt in, in your personal iCloud account.
In short: Free-tier users see ads served by Google Mobile Ads. Google may collect limited device information to serve these ads. Users who subscribe to Ultimate Timer Pro have ads removed entirely.
We use Google Mobile Ads (provided by Google LLC) to display banner and interstitial advertisements to free-tier users. Google may collect and process information such as:
Ultimate Timer uses Apple's SKAdNetwork framework, which is Apple's privacy-preserving approach to measuring ad campaign effectiveness without directly identifying individual users or their devices.
Subscribing to Ultimate Timer Pro removes all advertisements. No Google Mobile Ads data collection occurs for subscribed users.
Google's data practices are governed by Google's own privacy policy. We encourage you to review it at https://policies.google.com/privacy.
In short: If you choose to enable iCloud sync, your timer data is stored in your personal Apple iCloud account via CloudKit. We never see or have access to this data. iCloud sync is off by default.
When iCloud sync is enabled, Ultimate Timer uses Apple's CloudKit framework to store your data — timers, activity history, goals, and app settings — in your private iCloud database. This data is:
Aggregated health summaries generated from Apple Health data are stored locally on your device only and are not included in iCloud sync, even when sync is otherwise enabled. If you want to preserve this data across devices, you can export it from within the app.
You can enable or disable iCloud sync at any time in the app settings. Disabling sync stops new data from being written to iCloud; existing iCloud data can be managed directly through your device's iCloud settings or deleted via the app.
Data stored in iCloud is subject to Apple's iCloud terms of service and privacy policy. We encourage you to review Apple's privacy policy at https://www.apple.com/legal/privacy/.
In short: If you choose to enable Apple Health integration, Ultimate Timer reads workout history from and writes workout sessions to the Health app on your device via Apple's HealthKit framework. All health data stays on your device — we never see or have access to it, and it is not synced to iCloud. Health access is off by default.
When you grant Health access, Ultimate Timer interacts with Apple's HealthKit framework in the following ways:
In addition, aggregated summaries derived from this data (such as weekly workout totals) are stored locally on your device to power in-app statistics. As described in section 1B, these summaries are not synced to iCloud.
All HealthKit data — both what we write to Health and what we read from it — remains on your device within Apple's Health ecosystem. We do not transmit, store, or have access to your health or workout data.
You can grant or revoke Health access at any time through your device's Settings → Privacy & Security → Health → Ultimate Timer. Revoking access stops the app from reading or writing Health data. Data already written to the Health app can be managed or deleted directly within the Health app.
Health data stored in the Health app is subject to Apple's terms and privacy policy. We encourage you to review Apple's privacy policy at https://www.apple.com/legal/privacy/.
We use information to:
In short: We do not share your timer or health data with anyone. Your data stays on your device or, if you opt in, in your personal iCloud account — in neither case do we have access to it. Health data accessed via HealthKit never leaves your device. We do share limited device information with Google Mobile Ads (for free-tier users) and with Apple for in-app purchase processing. We do not sell your personal information.
For free-tier users, limited device information is shared with Google LLC for the purpose of serving advertisements (see section 1A). This does not include your timer data, activity history, health data, or any content you enter in the app.
Subscription purchases are processed entirely by Apple through the App Store. We do not receive your payment details. If you enable iCloud sync, your timer data is stored in your personal iCloud account; Apple's handling of that data is governed by Apple's own privacy policy. If you enable Health integration, your health and workout data is accessed via Apple's HealthKit framework and remains on your device. In all cases, we do not have access to your iCloud or HealthKit data.
We may disclose information if required by law, or if we believe in good faith that disclosure is necessary to comply with a legal obligation, protect the rights and safety of users, investigate fraud or security issues, or respond to lawful requests.
We do not sell your personal information. We do not share your personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising.
Your timer data, activity history, and goals are stored locally on your device for as long as you keep the app installed, or until you delete the data yourself. If you have enabled iCloud sync, a copy is also retained in your iCloud account until you delete it — either within the app or through your device's iCloud settings. We do not have a copy of this data and cannot access or delete it on your behalf.
Health and workout data written to the Health app is managed by you through the Health app and remains there until you choose to delete it. Aggregated health summaries stored locally on your device are retained until you delete them within the app or uninstall the app; as noted in section 1B, these summaries are not synced to iCloud and are not held by us.
If you export your data, the exported file is managed by you. If you contact us for support, we will retain your communication only as long as necessary to resolve your inquiry, unless a longer period is required by law.
Because your timer data is stored on your device (and optionally in your iCloud account), its security depends on your device's own security measures (such as your passcode and device encryption) and Apple's iCloud security infrastructure. iCloud data is encrypted in transit and at rest by Apple. Health and workout data is protected by Apple's HealthKit security model, which enforces per-app access controls and stores data within the encrypted Health database on your device. We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational measures to protect any information that does reach us (for example, support communications). However, no method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
Ultimate Timer does not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. The app is a general-purpose timer application; however, because free-tier users are served ads by Google Mobile Ads, we recommend that parents supervise use by younger children or consider a subscription to remove ads entirely. If you believe a child has provided personal information to us, please contact us and we will take appropriate steps.
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or obtain a copy of your personal information, and to object to or restrict certain processing. To exercise your rights, contact us using the details below.
Because your timer data is stored on your device (and optionally in your iCloud account), you have full control over it at all times — you can view, export, or delete it directly within the app without involving us. If iCloud sync is enabled, you can also manage or delete your iCloud data through your device's iCloud settings. Health and workout data written to the Health app can be managed or deleted at any time directly within Apple's Health app; you can also revoke the app's Health access entirely through Settings → Privacy & Security → Health.
Note: We do not have access to your on-device, iCloud, or HealthKit data and therefore cannot retrieve or delete it on your behalf.
